Singer, actor, composer and multi-instrumentalist born in Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Genthil releases new songs 'Universo Particular', 'Ser Feliz' and 'Quanto mais vida Melhor' by Gravadora Biscoito Fino in 2023.

 

With two original albums recorded, EP and singles, he has already released 35 songs available on all music apps.

 

The first authorial album (Thiago Genthil, 2012) had an excellent reception from the public and specialized media. His works feature the participation of big names in Brazilian music, such as Tomás Improta (Caetano Veloso), Marcelo Martins (Djavan), Jessé Sadoc (João Bosco) and directed by Gabriel Improta (Maria Bethânia).

This work earned him an invitation to participate in the Java Jazz Festival Indonesia 2014, where he sang as a duo with the legendary percussionist Robertinho Silva (Milton Nascimento, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock).

 

In 2014 Thiago toured Europe with his original work and was also invited to sing in the Tribute to Jobim at the Stockholm Concert Hall in Sweden, accompanied by Paulo Braga(Jobim), Nelson Faria(João Bosco), Magnus Lindgreen, Big Band and orchestra .

 

His second album (Tempo de Ser, 2016) was directed by Leandro Braga (Ney Matogrosso), and arranged by the maestro and Thiago. With a launch show at Teatro Solar de Botafogo, Beco das Garrafas, Festival in NY, tour in Europe and Asia (2017).

 

As a singer and solo guitarist, the artist worked with Steve Lindsey (Ray Charles, Bruno Mars), having the opportunity to be directed by one of the biggest music producers in the United States, in FIAT's international campaign, representing Brazil, in addition to acting in musical direction and original soundtrack for several plays and productions.

 

In 2020 he released the Ep “O Nosso Amor é Bem Maior”, a clip for the hit “Ana Gabriela” and his version of “Quase um Segundo” (Herbert Viana) in 2021.

In Rio de Janeiro, Thiago has been performing the show “Baile” since 2012 at the Rio Scenarium, with a repertoire focused on Samba-Rock and aspects of Samba.

 

In 2022 Thiago debuted the intimate show “Voz, guitar e histories around the world”.

 

In 2023 Thiago premiered the show Canta Djavan, at the traditional Beco das Garrafas and Audio Rebel. Also toured the USA, where he played at Burning Man with SolRisers in the Nevada Desert and his original work in various places in California.
